Introduction:

Diclofenac, with trade names such as Voltaren, Decafena, and Fultalin, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) derived from phenylacetic acid and is mainly used to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and polyarthritis. Myositis, dermatomyositis, spondyloarthropathies, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, and conditions such as migraine, toothache, gallstones, and kidney stones that require acute pain relief. Medicinal diclofenac often uses sodium salt or potassium salt. In China, the sodium salt is mainly used, that is, diclofenac sodium. The situation in each country is different.

Mechanism of action:

The mechanism of action of diclofenac is to inhibit the activity of cyclooxygenase, thereby blocking the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins, which are the main factors causing pain, fever, inflammation, etc.

Diclofenac is a white crystalline powder, odorless, easily soluble in acetone, soluble in acetone, ethanol, and slightly soluble in water.

Pharmacological effects:
